Lettuce is good for your health

Lettuce contains vitamins A, C and E. It also provides potassium, iron and calcium and traces of other minerals as well. A general rule of thumb for choosing the most nutritious type of lettuce is the darker the leaf colour, the more nutritional value. Obviously, mixing lettuce with other fresh produce and even meats and cheeses in salads is a healthy, low calorie way to double, triple, or quadruple the benefits, and as such, salads should be part of our everyday lives health-wise.
